Steven Kirby is one of Texas' most distinct literary voices. A native of North Texas, Kirby's work has been compared to both the Prey Series by John Sandford and the Alex Cross novels by James Patterson. His first highly anticipated novel, Deviant Desire, was released in summer 2006, and is available nationwide.
Steven Kirby was born on February 21, 1985 in Arlington, Texas. He began writing at a young age and started his fiction career during his senior year of high school at Fossil Ridge High School in Keller, Texas.
How did Steven begin his First Novel?
Steven began his first novel while fighting a bout with insomina during his senior year in high school. It would be put away and casually worked on until he moved out of his house in early 2004. In January of 2005, the work was completed. After going through multiple name changes and revisions, the end result was a piece of literature to bring readers into a new generation; Deviant Desire.
What is Steven Kirby's Background?
Steven Kirby was born in Arlington and raised in Texas where he graduated from Fossil Ridge High School. He was accepted to the University of Texas at Arlington where he is currently in his fourth year majoring in communication graphics and minoring in journalism. He has worked for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram for close to five years.
